The Backwards Law

Dolores Cannon Dolores Cannon often said that Quantum Healing and the secrets of the universe have a way of bending your mind like a pretzel.

Understanding some of these concepts requires effort. It challenges us to think beyond conventional limits, shift our perspective, and let go of the notion that things must look or be a certain way.

One of these mind-bending ideas is the "Backwards Law," a concept philosopher Alan Watts frequently discussed. In essence, seeking a positive experience can result in a negative one, while embracing a negative experience can lead to something positive.

The idea that the more you pursue feeling better all the time,

the less satisfied you become,

as pursuing something only reinforces that the fact that you lack it in the first place.

The more you desperately want to be rich,

the more poor and unworthy you will feel,

regardless of how much m money you actually make.

The more you desperately want to be sexy and desired, the uglier you come to see yourself, regardless of your actual physical appearance.

The more you desperately want to be happy and loved,

the lonelier and more afraid you become, regardless of those who surround you.

The more you want to be spiritually enlightened, the more self-centred and shallow you become in trying to get there.

May we all be grateful for what we have today. This concept is great to show us what is missing in our life, but it's when we appreciate where we are in the now that we can allow more abundance to flow into the directions of what we desire as chasing it means that it will always be a chase.
